Not necessarily.  The beauty of the team model of Collaborative Divorce is that each member does what he/she does best, easiest and fastest.  In a traditional case, the lawyer does the lawyering (negotaition and advising on the law), the coaching and helps with the finances.  Unfortunately, all the lawyer is trained to do is lawyering.  Most lawyers know quite a bit about the finances and have some experience with coaching, but it's not what they're trained to do, so it takes them longer to do those things, and they generally charge a higher hourly rate to do them than the coaches or financial neutrals.  What you get with the team model of Collaborative Divorce is all the professionals giving you the best they have to offer in the most efficient and cost effective way.
